D Ranch Peruvians
Hi and thanks for stopping by our new website spotlighting our
all American bred Peruvian Paso horses.
D Ranch is the home of RDLF Crecencia and DR El Patron, both many
times Champion and Champion of Champions Peruvian Paso horses in numerous classes and
all levels of competition.
It all started in 1994 when we, Mel & Maidy
Dreyfuss, fell in love with the Santa Ynez Valley on the central
coast of California and Peruvian
Paso Horses and purchased a 40 acre ranch on a hilltop in Solvang,
California. The ranch is set among rolling
hills and lush green pastures set off with Spanish style
architecture and white rail fencing - Paradise!
It soon became apparent that
the Peruvian
horse would change our lives completely. You see, they are
like salted peanuts, you can't just have one. It was then
that we decided to embark on a breeding program with a single and
simple goal: produce the finest quality Peruvian horses with
gentle temperaments, glassy smooth rides with impeccable timing
and gait. Not an easy challenge for even the most
experienced horse people.
Because our horses are our friends, we always
stress hands on treatment and kindness. We even start our
new arrivals immediately with Foal Imprinting and plenty of
attention. We don't believe that you can spoil a baby.
As they mature, the early contact makes them pliable and willing
